If we are involved in drawing financial resources from structural funds, we have to adhere to the following procedure:
- Defining clear aim – What do I want to use the funds for, what is the required amount and how and where shall I realize my aim?
- Checking eligibility – Am I among the beneficiaries, am I an eligible applicant to draw these funds? Do my priorities correspond with the operational programme?
- Demonstrating the ability to co-finance the investment plan – Do I possess the resources needed for co-financing? What is the extent of my co-financing?
- Clarifying ownership – Is my ownership to land, building etc., settled?
- The project must be in accordance with the NSRF and the operational programme – The project should contribute to the objectives defined in these documents and should take into account the priorities defined in the economic and social development agenda of the region.
- Fully developing project documentation– (in case of investment projects)
- Filling out an application for non-repayable grant –Application with all attachments and supporting documentation needs to be submitted under the applicable call to the relevant managing body or the intermediate body under the managing authority.
Grants for small and medium-sized businesses and local governments
By drawing finances from grant funds Slovak companies become more resistant to the pressure of western companies and more competitive especially in those markets, in which they would find it very difficult to succeed by themselves, without the financial assistance. Grants for our businesses represent a considerable assistance in the procurement of innovative technologies and coverage of the wage costs of employees, and the money saved helps them to ensure further development of companies.
In order to increase the quality of life for citizens of Slovakia, grants are used, which are intended for municipalities, cities and HTU.
